On the evening of August 9, National Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “National Technology”) issued an announcement stating that from August 7, 2020 to August 6, 2021, National Technology and TSMC signed multiple contracts for twelve consecutive months. A “Purchase Order” was issued by the company to purchase wafers from TSMC. The cumulative contract amount was US$34.924 million, equivalent to RMB 226 million, exceeding 50% of the company’s audited main business income in the most recent fiscal year.
The announcement shows that the main content of the contract is that the company purchases wafers from suppliers, which is part of the company’s daily business. Given the current shortage of production capacity in the integrated circuit industry, the series of contracts signed by the company with it will help increase the company’s chip production capacity, which is expected to have a positive impact on the company’s current and future annual operating results.
It is reported that from 2018 to 2020, the purchase amount of National Technology to TSMC was RMB 64.4345 million, RMB 34.4241 million and RMB 49.1621 million respectively, accounting for 10.96% of the main business income of each year, 9.14% and 13.67%.
